ARCHITECTURE AT COPENHAGEN ZOO The animals aren't the only thing to marvel at in the ZOO. The ZOO is also home to some architectural delights, not least the panda habitat designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, and the elephant house, designed by Norman Foster. Architecture fans might also enjoy looking at the Hippopotamus House, which opened in 2007 with walls patterned like a hippo's skin, and the Arctic Ring, which allows you to see the polar bears swimming under water.

ACTIVITIES IN THE GARDENBEEP, BEEP! MEET THE EASTER CHICKSIn the Children’s ZOO, you can meet the small, newly hatched Easter chicks with a ZOO guide, who will tell you all about these little chicks. Did you know, for example, that they can “talk” to their mother while still in the egg? Learn more about these little feathered creatures and enjoy an egg-citing experience for the whole family.

SOLVE THE TASKS IN THE ZOO MISSIONGet your claws into the free activity booklet at the entrance and join the ZOO Mission, where you’ll explore, discover, run, and play your way through the ZOO to become a true Nature Hero, who cares for the world’s animals and nature. Along the way, you’ll face cool challenges that can earn you fabric badges; ZOO-Friend, ZOO-Geeks, ZOO-Teller, and ZOO-Explorer – all the qualities required to be one of the ZOO’s awesome and super important Nature Heroes. The booklet can be used again and again on your visits to the ZOO.

A TRUE POOP QUIZDo you know what a panda poop looks like? And what about the poop from a towering giraffe? If you want to test your own poop knowledge and find the answers to these questions, head to the first floor of the ZOO Shop, where you can try your hand at an animal poop quiz with poops from some of the ZOO’s animals. It’s definitely one of the coolest poop experiences!

SPICE UP EASTER WITH LOVEThere’s spring (and love) in the air at the ZOO – and you can turn up the romance even more with a cosy love tour through the ZOO. Invite your partner, date, or friend on the Love Route in the ZOO, where you can learn about the many different mating tricks and rituals of the animals – from beautiful manes and red bottoms to shared dances and sweet serenades. Along the way, there will also be interesting, fun, and thought-provoking questions, so you can get to know each other even better.
